Gingerbread Kids

Below: Leah, age 5, shows off her gingerbread cookies. While studying about the creation in Discover the Old Testament, Leah learned that all God's children are unique. She and her sister and brothers made gingerbread kids to remind them that we are all made in God's image, but we are all unique. Here's a sneak peek at her recipe: Gingerbread Kid Recipe.

Salt Dough Canaan

Below: Abi, age 10, displays her salt dough map of Israel. While studying unit 2 of Discover the Old Testament, Abi learned that Abraham fled into Egypt because of a famine in Canaan. Later he and his family returned the promised land.

Below: Abi, age 12, works on a "stained glass picture" after reading about cathedrals in medieval Europe. She has been studying Acts of the Apostles and learning what happened to Jesus' Church after the Apostles died.
