Discover the Old Testament for oldern children will help your kids (and you!) put together the narrative of the Old Testament (complete with maps and timelines). Not only will they learn the stories and history in the Bible, but also be introduced to the doctrinal principles taught in these important scriptures. Each of the 12 units ends with a page of memory verses and a page to help kids apply what they have learned to their own lives. Even younger brothers and sisters will have fun participating in the projects included in each unit.
Hands-on projects include making gingerbread kids, creating a salt dough map of Canaan, throwing your own Passover Dinner party, making a food storage plan for your family (like Joseph in Egypt!), baking "manna," creating an "ark of the covenant," making a shoebox diorama of Palestine, acting out Joshua's defeat of the four kings, and making Christmas ornaments with Isaiah's prophecies of Christ's birth.
